چکیده
DOI: 10.17014/ijog.9.2. The phenomenon of land subsidence in Negeri Sila Nusalaut Island was caused by an earthquake Ambon and surrounding areas on September 26, 2019 with the magnitude 6.5. This research had been conducted using a resistivity method dipole-dipole configuration. Land occurred due to seawater intrusion around area. trigger, so soil creep occurred. The purpose this study is obtain weak zone area that indicates subsidence. results showed low value 1-10 Ohm meters which indicated potential ground surface, presence sea water into

Land Subsidence Monitoring in Australia and China using Satellite Interferometry
Continued excessive extraction of groundwater may lead to significant land subsidence, which causes economic loss. The aim of this research is to investigate ground subsidence in several Australian capital cities using the Persistent Scatterer Interferometry approach. Such studies may help improve our understanding of the deformation of terrain and built structures, and evaluate the effectivene...
متن کاملTime-lapse resistivity investigation of salinity changes at an ex-promontory land: a case study of Carey Island, Selangor, Malaysia.
Time-lapse resistivity measurements and groundwater geochemistry were used to study salinity effect on groundwater aquifer at the ex-promontory-land of Carey Island in Malaysia. Resistivity was measured by ABEM Terrameter SAS4000 and ES10-64 electrode selector. Relationship between earth resistivity and total dissolved solids (TDS) was derived, and with resistivity images, used to identify wate...
متن کاملModeling and zoning of land subsidence in the southwest of Tehran using artificial neural networks
The earth's surface, due to its natural conditions and its structure is always changing and reshaping. One of the created deformations is the land subsidence. This is the most dangerous events which can be seen in most urban areas especially in the agricultural plains today. This study aims at zoning land subsidence and recognition of geometrical factors in southwest of Tehran. To estimate and ...
متن کاملMonitoring Land Surface Subsidence Using Radar Interferometry: The Challenges
SUMMARY Subsidence of the land surface is defined as the vertical surface movement due to the removal of subsurface support. This paper presents the differential interferometric synthetic aperture radar (DInSAR) results derived from the data of various SAR satellites, such as ERS-1/2, Radarsat-1 and JERS-1, for subsidence monitoring. One of the limitations of selecting the suitable interferomet...
متن کاملEvaluation of land subsidence in Kashmar-Bardaskan plain, NE Iran
The development of agriculture and industry and the increase of population in countries with arid to semi-arid climates have led to more harvesting of groundwater resources and as a result land subsidence in different parts of the worlds. Decades of groundwater overexploitation in the Kashmar-Bardaskan plain in the north-east of Iran has resulted substantial land subsidence in this plain. The p...
